The Moore House Monthly 3-26-21

We’re back with our new recurring blog column! If you’re new here, at the end of each month we’ll be rounding up all of the images, articles, designs, room reveals, and more that have inspired us in the past thirty days. Exciting—yes! Shoppable—also yes! Here’s what we couldn’t stop thinking about in March…

This new house reveal is EVERYTHING—definitely more modern than we go, but swipe through to see the image of the beams in the ceiling. I love that they kept them uneven. I have said it before and I will say it again, if you don't have something that feels off and or wrong in the space then the balance just isn’t quite right.

We’re always learning and growing, recently picked up Emmanuel Acho’s book and can’t wait to dive in…in the wee hours of the night because that’s when we’re able to get any reading done. I also read this amazing essay that I thought was very powerful.

Check out this new artisan from France that we’re digging: Lea Munsch.

Also, ceramics from Argentina. We’re hoping to source some pieces!

A massive ship is blocking the Suez Canal, which is critical for shipping many products inbound for our home renovations…making shipping and our already crazy Covid delays even worse.

We love plaster so much we’re not above framing it and hanging it on the wall.

We loved this San Francisco design by Nicole Hollis, an Italianate-Victorian that was once owned by renowned architect Julia Morgan.

Round Top Antique Fair is going on right now in Texas! We were supposed to be there but we have a huge surprise launching in a few months, so it’s full steam ahead with that for the moment. But wow, we’re having major FOMO at not being there. The antiques at the moment are INSANE!

We can’t resist a good peek-a-boo shot and this one into this bedroom is beyond. But we love this look into Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent’s NYC townhouse, how dreamy is that simple styling on the bed.

Curtain rods are tricky, so much so we might do an upcoming blog post all about them, here’s a version that will always look classic.

Spring is New England’s muddy season, so good boots are in order! We’re spending a lot of time in northern New England working on a really exciting project and our tried-and-true R.M. Williams are in their element.
