Though we may be a little extra and are in the truest meaning behind the name of this blog “a bit Moore”, we love crafting all sorts of beautifully creative cocktails. We first made this cocktail on a picturesque summer afternoon at our Coaster’s Chance Cottage in Maine and have been ruminating about the creation ever since. It’s a relatively simple “mixy” as far as craft libations go, but it’s sure to satisfy all those sultry end-of-summer cravings. We named her after the woman who is pretty much as close to the spirit of the village of Cutler as you can get in a worldly form. She’s the Coastal Grandmother, a wealth of maritime knowledge, and one of the sweetest “Mainers” we’ve come to know yet — she is, none other than our lovely neighbor Delia. We created this drink in Maine, so it’s only fitting that it’s named after her. She’s sweet, tart, and can definitely come on a bit strong — if we can be so bold, it’s basically a Coastal Grandmother in a cocktail.
